A Day In The Life

I need this in my life! Time to upgrade from HERO I think.

Question: How long are people usually obsessed with Rock Band before they put it in their closet and forget about it forever? A week? a month? Anyone have it? Let me know! I think I would be hyped up about it for a while if I got The Beatles version....

Coo-coo-ka-choo.

Less Hunky Vampires & Teen Wolf

If you think I didn't rewind this like 3 times during the MTV movie awards last night... well then you obviously don't know me very well!

I can't describe my tween-like obsession for this saga -- all I can say is YEA Jacob Black! I can't wait!!! ....Okay, I'm done. I've already embarrassed myself enough already with this insane love for all things Cullen.

I also watched the below video 3 times... and I'm not going to lie, I would've been fine if they had just punked us all with this and not shown the real trailer at all. Because really, Andy is right, I need to get a life and not be so Twilight Crazy. Teen Wolf is just as cool sometimes.

ps - How is Taylor Lautner the only normal person out of this entire crew? Robert Pattinson and Kristin Stewart seem like they can barely function as human beings let alone speak in public. Wow... can we awkward? and absolutely awesome and HILARIOUS? ok.

pps - Although I would be less likely to stumble through a speech, I'm admitting now, that I would be the one to drop my award as well. Whoops!

Taking Woodstock

Perhaps I should get some other hobbies besides tv and movies but....i like them the best, so you all will just have to deal with it.

So enjoy yet another trailer of a film that I'm very much looking forward to this summer. Taking Woodstock  - I believe it just might become one of my favorites.

+++'s on this flick:
+ emile hirsch! i love himmmm
+ demitri martin looks like he could actually be a good actor that i'd enjoy watching rather than just a kinda-but-not-entirely-funny sketch comedian from comedy central.
+ i love when movies are set around the area that i grew up (So... counting this, that'll be like, what, 2 films now? yea, dirty dancing!)
+ um, it's about woodstock - it has to be good!

Happy Good Friday!

I know it's not really friday but I have off from work tomorrow so technically it is! Thus, I thought I'd post a few trailers for you all to enjoy over the weekend.

First, Extract. Have I mentioned my unconditional love for Jason Bateman yet? I think I have.... And, wait. Kristen Wiig is playing something other than the shrewdly sarcastic type? This should be interesting - slash hilariously awesome!

I've also come to the quick realization that JK Simmons is comedy gold.

Then we have Away We Go. I loveee Sam Mendes. And I am SO psyched about this entire cast (with the initial exception of Maya Rudolph). I was never a fan of hers on SNL but she actually looks like she could do really well in this - maybe it just takes the right role.

Oh John Krasinski... I will always love you. And, I think Alexi Murdoch's music would probably make any film look beautiful.

Zooey Love

I know, I know - I guess it's trailer day here at pret-a-party. Sorry, but I couldn't resist. I just love this girl! Zooey Deschanel has stolen my heart - I want to be her, she's so dang cute. I mean, just look at her bike. Don't you kinda want to be her too?

Here are two trailers for her upcoming flicks. Both of which I've put on my "must see in theaters with my girlfriends" list.

"This is a house of lies!" - Almost Famous

Let The Wild Rumpus Start!

I've been waiting 2 years for this...

...since I interned at Playtone and saw a cut of the special feature they were making on it. You just really can't go wrong with 1. Spike Jonze, 2. voice over work by James Gandolfini, Forrest Whitaker, and Catherine O'Hara, and 3. Henson puppet work. YES YES YES!

This is gonna be sickkk.

Also, in case anyone's wondering, the song in the trailer is Arcade Fire's Wake Up. After I heard it on the special feature I became absolutely obsessed with this song.

"Happiness is good health and a bad memory."
